How to Play Agartha Mog or Die
The repeatable loop after the tutorial: farm, upgrade, capture, then fight on purpose.
Once the welcome card is gone, Agartha Mog or Die is a three-layer loop. Layer one is the suburban map: walk, grab Milk, Hammers, Picture Frames, and Water. Layer two is your plot: dump progress into the Mog Upgrader so a wipe does not reset you to SUB5. Layer three is combat: NPC captures first, player Mog Battles second, Mog King only when the first two layers are boring. This page is that loop. If you have not claimed a pad yet, use Getting Started instead.
Servers hold ten players. You will see other plots. Some will already have NPCs placed. That is the game working as designed, not a bug. Empty pads that still say NO NPC PLACED belong to people who never finished a capture. Do not copy them.
The four-stat sheet
Every comparison uses the same four numbers:
- Height from Milk. Visible immediately. Easy to chase during a 2x timer.
- Face from Hammers. The comparison a lot of players overvalue in chat and undervalue in the first twenty minutes.
- Frame from Picture Frames. Often the scarce drop. Missing Frame is how a tall character still loses.
- Bodyfat from Water. Lower is better. Water is easy to ignore because the pickup does not make you look taller.
The stat tier list ranks these for battles. The item index maps each object. How to grow is the walking route. You do not need all four maxed to beat an NPC. You need no obvious hole. A giant with untouched Face is free MogPoints for someone who read this paragraph.
A standard session
- Join. Check the codes hub in case a like-goal dropped while you slept.
- If a 2x code is live and you have thirty minutes, redeem it using how to redeem. If you have eight minutes, skip the 2x strings.
- Walk a neighborhood circuit. Prioritize the stat the planner marked as your hole.
- Return to the plot. Buy Upgrader ranks until MogPoints feel tight.
- Fight an NPC you outstat. Decide SPARE or MOG using the battle guide.
- Place the capture if the win allows it.
- Only then look at a player who is also shopping. If they just came back from a 2x farm, walk away.
Daily Rewards exist. Grab them. They are slower than codes and slower than a focused farm, but they are free. Do not stand in the Daily UI during a 2x timer.
Plot before pride
The tutorial is blunt: permanent EXP upgrades survive getting Mogged. Play like that is true, because it is. A session that buys two Upgrader ranks and loses one NPC fight is still a winning session. A session that drinks twenty Milk cartons, skips the pad, and donates the body to the first challenger is a losing session even if the screenshot looked tall.
Growing the plot is the tycoon half of the design. The welcome card’s third line — Grow your plot. Evolve. — is not flavor. Pads change as you invest. Come back to them between farms. A plot you never visit is a bank account you never deposit into.
Combat as a menu option, not a lifestyle
You can play an entire evening without challenging a player. NPC mogs still pay learning and captures. Player mogs pay MogPoints and drama. The Mog King page is for people who want the drama on purpose. Everyone else should treat player battles as a button they press after the plot is insured and the four stats have no dump stat sitting at starter values.
If you lose, and they pick MOG, your run is gone. Rebuy nothing that the Upgrader already covers. Walk the item loop again. That is how to play after a wipe, and it is the same loop as before a wipe, which is the point.
Mobile versus PC
The loop does not change. Controls lists movement, camera, and the Codes button. Mobile players lose fights because the challenge prompt is easy to hit while looting. If you are farming, face away from populated pads. PC players lose fights because they click a nearby rival out of boredom. Boredom is not a build. Open the tier list hub if you need a reason to walk past someone.
What this page will not tell you
It will not invent ability names the Lucky Spin has not shown in a public source. It will not invent a Trello that does not exist. It will not tell you to install a script — the scripts hub is empty of verified loadstrings for a reason. How to play, right now, is farm, upgrade, capture, and fight on purpose. Do those four verbs in that order and the rest of the wiki is optional reading instead of emergency reading.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for SUB5 players climbing toward Mog King.
What is the core loop of Agartha Mog or Die?
Collect the four drops, spend MogPoints at the Mog Upgrader, capture NPCs, then choose player battles. Details start in Getting Started.
Can I play without PvP?
Yes. NPC mogs and plot growth are a full session. Player battles are optional until you want the Mog King climb.
What should I do during a 2x code?
Only collect and upgrade. Do not open player fights. Run how to grow.
Why does my plot say NO NPC PLACED?
You have not captured and placed an NPC yet. Win a fight, then put them on the pad. See NPCs.
